Don't Re-Key Your Locks Until You Read This

What are you trying to do by having your locks re-keyed? Usually you re-key locks because you are concerned that an unauthorized person has a key to your belongings. Naturally you want only authorized people to have access to your keys.

However once you re-key and distribute the keys to "certified" users, you still have no control over people making unauthorized copies. Once "authorized" users get their keys, they often have a copy made and store it anywhere just in case they lose the unique one. No one wants to go to the boss and admit he lost his key, so he has a spare hidden away or borrows somebody else's key and has it duplicated.

It is not required to replace your existing locks. Just the cylinder, which is where the key is inserted, can be replaced with restricted key cylinders. The keys are registered to your company and signatures are kept on file at our place of work. Only the people whose signatures are on file can get extra keys and must sign for every key. At any time we can notify you exactly how many keys exist for your locks.
